Sequoyah traveled to second ranked Gravette, Ark. Friday escaping with a 49-35 come from behind victory.

Gravette moved out to a 21-0 lead in the first half before the Hunter Cunningham show began.

Cunningham cut the Lion lead to 21-6 after he broke free for a 56 yard touchdown run.

Nathan Stanley found Cunningham open on a 29 yard touchdown reception and a few minutes later a 64 yard scoring catch giving the Indians a 22-21 halftime lead.

"Hunter Cunningham had an unbelievable game. He was on fire tonight," Head Coach Brent Scott said.

If Gravette had any notion of a comeback Travis Boswell answered it with five second half touchdowns.

"Boswell just took over in the second half. It was a fortunate win but a good win," Scott added.

Boswell finished the night with 28-242 yards and the five scores.

Cunningham finished with 208 total yards with 105 coming on eight carries and 103 through the air.

Stanley completed 7-15 pass for 194 and the two touchdowns to Cunningham.

Sequoyah finished with 537 yard of total yards with 353 coming on 48 rushes and 7.8 yards per carry.

Sequoyah came away with 20 first downs.

Sequoyah held Gravette to 20 rushing and 331 yards through the air on a 19-35 night.

Cunningham finished with two interceptions on the night with Brett Littlebear and Jerome Koshiway with one interception each.
