GORE – The Hulbert Lady Riders were led in scoring by Kim Masters with 18 points in the 65-53 win over the Gore Lady Pirates. Hulbert had three other girls in double figures with Sydney Dunning at 17, Reba Fore scoring 16, and Jessica Henson 11.

The Lady Pirates had a 14-12 lead at the end of the first period, but the Lady Riders outscored Gore 15-11 in the second quarter to take a 27-25 lead at the half. Dunning scored 8 points in the second quarter with two 3-pointers and a field goal, while Henson scored 4 points on a 3-pointer and a point from the line. Masters also had a 3-pointer. Hulbert put the game away in the third by outscoring Gore 20-12 for a 47-37 lead. Masters led the scoring in the third period with 9 points which included a 3-pointer, two field goals and 2 points from the charity stripe. Fore added 5 more points with a 3-pointer and a field goal while Dunning was 3-4 from the line. LaRaye Arnall also hit a 3-pointer.

Hulbert outscored Gore 18-16 in the fourth. The Lady Riders won the game at the free throw line in the fourth period. Henson was 4-4 from the line, while Dunning was also a perfect 4-4 from the stripe. Fore hit 4-5 in the quarter. The only two field goals of the period were by Dunning and Fore.

Masters scored in every quarter for her game-high 18 points, as she had 4 in the first, 3 in the second, 9 in the third and 2 more in the final period. Dunning scored in every quarter but the first, with 8 in the second, 3 more in the third, and 6 in the fourth. Fore also scored in three of four quarters as she had 5 in the first, 5 in the second, and 6 points in the fourth period.

The leading scorer for the Gore Lady Pirates was Whitney Mannon with 10 points.

The Lady Riders are now 7-5 in Big Eight Conference Play and 14-6 overall. The next action for the Lady Riders is Friday at home against Warner. Tipoff is 6:30 p.m. The game is the last regular season game and is also senior night.

GORE – The Hulbert Riders had two in double figures as Jacob Reynolds had 17 points and Kendall Kilpatrick scored 14 in the 51-43 win over the Gore Pirates. Reynolds scored in every quarter but the first with 4 in the second, 8 in the third, and 5 in the fourth. Kilpatrick scored in every quarter with 2 in the first, 4 in the second, 6 in the third, and 2 more in the fourth.

The Riders led 10-8 at the end of the first period as Jake Whitener scored 6 of the points on two 3-pointers while Devin Landsaw and Kilpatrick scored a field goal each. The Riders outscored the Pirates 15-13 in the second period to take a 25-21 lead at the half. The other points scored in the quarter were a field goal by Whitener and 5 points from Chase Johnson with two field goals and a free throw.

The third quarter saw the Riders outscore the Pirates 14-13 to increase their lead to five at 39-34. The only two Riders to score were Reynolds with his 8 points and Kilpatrick with 6. Gore attempted a comeback in the fourth quarter, but were outscored 12-9 for the final margin of victory. The other Riders to score in the quarter were Johnson as he went 3-3 from the charity stripe and Justin Farmer, who was also perfect from the line at 2-2. The leading scorer for Gore Pirates was Danny Kusler with 12 points.

Hulbert is now 6-6 in Big Eight Conference play and 12-8 overall. Hulbert will play Warner Friday for Senior Night. Tipoff is 8 p.m. The game will be the final home regular season game.
