West Ratliff wrestles a steer during competition on Saturday at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds. Ratliff scored a time of 5.4 seconds and finished in third place. The two-day event was sponsored by the Cher-O-Dair Shriners Rodeo “Oklahoma Twister Rodeo Series and sanctioned by the American Cowboys Rodeo Association.

The “Oklahoma Twister Rodeo Series,” which was put on by Cher-O-Dair Shriners Rodeo, had several winners during the two-day event at the Cherokee County Fairgrounds.

In bareback riding, Grant Freeman finished first with a score of 66.

Darren Lively won in saddle bronc with a 79. Jason Pauschert claimed silver with a 76.

Austin Mason was the only finisher under four seconds in steer wrestling. He won at 4.8 seconds. Mason Carter (5.4), West Ratliff (5.4) and Chris Brown (5.5) rounded out the top four.

Destry Graham and Rocky Ross won in team roping at 4.7 seconds. Clayton Kreiger and Chuck Morgan were second at 4.8.

In barrel racing, Amber Scales posted a narrow victory, finishing at 16.025 seconds. Andi Hardin was second at 16.030.

Rob Pierce nabbed calf roping honors at 9.5 seconds. Blake Deckard was second at 10 seconds, and John Titsworth posted a third-place showing at 11 seconds.

In girls breakaway, Donna Charmington beat Whitney Desalvo by a tenth of a second, 2.8 to 2.9. Rebecca Wilson came in third at 3.2.

Finally, in bullriding, David King had a score of 74 to finish in first. Chelsea Day was second at 72.
