The Lady Tigers 800-meter relay team of Crystal Portugal, Christine Portugal, Jessica Vargas, and Kayla Capps established a new school record of 1:48.83 Friday at Okmulgee Invitational.

The old mark was set in the early 1990s and was 1:48.98.  The old record was held by Kristie Davis, Amanda Wilkenson, Sara Ables, and Amy Wallace.

Crystal and Christine also provided another highlight as they went one and two in the open 400 with times of 61.19 and 61.96.

Tasha Perry was a winner with a high jump of 4' 9". DeAnn Amlin finished 6th. with a jump of 4' 5".

In the 100 meter, Vargas finished second with a time of 13.6. Capps also compete finishing with a time of 13.93, as did Heather Choate with a time of 13.93. the two finished tied for fourth.

THS got a fourth place finish in the 200 meter from Capp. She had a time of 17.97. Emily Nodine finished fifth with a time of 29.36, and Andi Morton finished sixth with a time of 30.03.

Nodine finished fifth with a time of 67.20 in the 400 meter.

In the 800 meter run Brianna Keller finished with a time of 3:08, while in the 1600 meter-run freshman Sarah Hix finished third with a time of 6:15. Kaelyn Grant finished fourth in the same event with a time of 6:22, and Tasha Downing finished fifth with a time of 6:28.

In the 3200 meter, Hix fished second with a time of 13:12.52 and Gran finished fourth with a time of 14:04.28.

100 Hurdles netted THS a third place. Amlin finished with a time of 18.58. Amlin also got a fourth place finish in 300 Hurdles with a time of 56.40. Keller finished sixth with a time of 68.38.

In other relay action, Morton, Vargas, Portugal, Portugal finished second in the 4X100 relay with a time of 52.12. In the 4X400 relay Portugal, Portugal,Vargas, Choate finished with a time of 4:28.17. Ths fielded an all freshman 4X800 relay of Hix, Grant, Nodine, Downing. They finished in second with a time of-10:52.47.
